- Province polygons: geoBoundaries gbOpen IRN ADM1, revision `9469f09`, represented year **2017**, source OpenStreetMap, ODbL 1.0. Downloaded 2026-09-09. https://www.geoboundaries.org/api/current/gbOpen/IRN/ADM1/
- Geometry is the source's simplified geometry. Multiple parts of Mazandaran were combined into one MultiPolygon; Persian titles and stable application keys were added. These are browsing boundaries, not a current legal cadastral reference.
- Province and city centers: https://github.com/arnpacc/iran-city-coordinates (MIT; license bundled in database/data/geography/CITIES-LICENSE). Retrieved 2026-09-09: 31 provinces and 1,137 city entries. This is a community dataset; it is not a claim of exhaustive, current municipal coverage. Centers are navigation points, not venue positions.
- Tehran's 22 district points: OpenStreetMap administrative level 9 relations, retrieved with Overpass on 2026-09-09. Each point is the bounding-box center of its district relation, not a municipal-office address. Relation identifiers and timestamp are retained in the bundled district JSON. - Districts are displayed as points. The 22 OpenStreetMap district polygons retrieved on 2026-09-09 are bundled in database/data/geography/tehran-district-boundaries.geojson for point-in-polygon data reconciliation (ODbL 1.0); relation IDs and source timestamp are retained.
